Ceará Sporting Club bids farewell to midfielder Dieguinho, who was signed at the beginning of 2025 and has now accepted an offer from Shimizu S-Pulse, a Japanese football club. After the victory over Avaí, Dieguinho informed his teammates of his departure and expressed gratitude for his time with the People’s Team. He emphasized that this decision was difficult, considering his importance to the squad and the affection he developed for Ceará. The player stated: “I’m leaving, but part of my heart will stay here with you.” The negotiation will result in a compensation of approximately R$ 4,000,000.00 for Ceará. Dieguinho had a contract until the end of 2026, but football regulations allowed his exit without costs six months before the end of the contract. The completion of the transfer depends on passing medical exams by the Japanese club. During his time, Dieguinho played in 66 matches and quickly won over the Alvinegra Nation. Ceará Sporting Club thanks the player and wishes him success in his new journey.
